My introduction to acupuncture was in 1993, while participating in a 3 week intensive Japanese Massage class. My knee, which had been injured years before, was re-injured and swelled to the size of a small grapefruit. That evening, the teacher had me lay propped up on a massage table, so I could see while he inserted several acupuncture needles and then left the room for a time. In that hour, I watched the grapefruit decrease to lemon size!

I continued to receive acupuncture  for over 20 years from many practitioners to heal injuries, treat imbalances and general well being prior to attending acupuncture school. During  those 20+ years, I continued to study with masters of Tibetan & Japanese Medicine, native American healers, herbalists, and loads of bodywork practitioners. I am a lifelong student and sometimes teacher – passing on knowledge I have acquired in various ways.

My exploration has been, and continues to be: how stress from the environment, trauma or other sources creates or contributes to dis-eases and how to heal. My sessions often synthesize modalities and trainings from a large spectrum.
